(There's a laser starter list under the Amazon links page with a few things that we helpful to me when I first started or visit www.amazon.com/shop/signparties101)
It's what I refer to as the 'beginner' laser because it's pretty "plug in and go" and the learning curve is pretty flat! (Which is amazing for people like me, lol!) But it's definitely more of a hobby machine. If you're wanting to build a business, check out the Mira below... There's 3 different models of the glowforge to choose from (I have both the basic and the pro) and you can find those here: (this is also my referral link so if you order a basic, you get $100 off, a plus or pro, YOU get a $250 or $500 discount and I get the same in credit - pretty sweet, huh?) https://glowforge.us/f/STPWSSZD
These are a little more "big girl/boy" lasers as they are mostly larger than the Glowforge, more powerful and faster although they take a lot of patience and 'technical ability' to get them started as you have to install the laser tube, put wires together, the whole works. Here's my link if you want to check them out but if you're serious abou t a business and don't have much time to play around, I'd check out the Aeon below. https://omtechlaser.com/?ref=ilywfqnk5gl8
Aeon - mira 9:
This bad boy is the next level up for me from my previous lasers and I'm floored at the ease of use and speed/ability that it has!!! Their customer service is SECOND TO NONE which is HUGE deal when it comes to lasers. You can click this link https://aeonlaser.us/contact?ref=dawnmarie and go to the 'get started' tab to chat with someone about which laser is best for you, or email my gal Elisha at elisha@engravingmachinesplus and she'll help you out! Be sure to tell them Dawn and Sign Parties 101 sent ya!
